Hiking Trails in Blue Mountain area

Georgian Trail

Founded in 1989, the Georgian Trail is a linear park, a ribbon of green that travels from the Town of Collingwood, through the Village of Thornbury to the Town of Meaford and is the perfect place for an uncomplicated cross-country ski or snowshoe. It follows the route of the original Northern Railway along the southern shore of Georgian Bay. Each kilometre throughout the trail is signed and maps are located at major access points.

Ontario Trails

Central Ontario is Ontario's playground with lush forests, sparkling lakes and rivers and lots of trails. In addition to the big open water of Georgian Bay and Lake Huron, the region features hundreds of smaller lakes, rivers and interconnected waterways and canals. The trails take you along country roads, through dense woodlands and past towering sand dunes and limestone cliffs. And because this area generally gets plenty of snow, it's a true four-seasons region with trails for snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing and hiking in the winter.
